Mr 7 loved this cereal! He found the flavour yummy and they stay crunchy for quite awhile compared to other rice pop cereals. Mr 5 ate them as they come and thought they were quite nice apart from the green ones. We will be buying this cereal again for mr 7 because they are gluten free and he enjoyed them and with all the extras this cereal has with prebiotic and probiotics, 40% less sugar and the 4 star health rating and made in NZ! Would recommend theses to other out there that need a gluten free cereal!
We absolutely loved it.. Like the colorful and the sweetness… It is a win-win, less sugar and better bowl movement… Thank you for sending us this amazing cereal..
We trialled Healtheries Gluten free Fun Puffs. On receiving these my daughter was very excited. She opened them up and poured them into a bowl. She loved the taste of them. I was sold on the box saying there was prebiotics and probiotics in it. Also that there is no artificial colours or Sweeteners. My nieces and nephew who are gluten free also came around to our house, tried it and loved the taste. Extra points there is a monster mask to make on the box.
. Thank you.
Absolutely loved them. Fun looking. Fun tasting. Definitely yummiest then normal rice bubbles and tasted like a treat but were actually food for you. We had with vanilla unsweetened almond milk and would recommend 110% and now I’m off to make rice krispie square with them for the kids!!
Wow! Minimal sugars and much better calories. Flavour isn’t as intense as other flavoured rice cereals yet it’s definitely there. My daughter says “we need to eat up quick before the flavour runs into the milk” but she’s not complaining at all; I love this because she has eaten up her breakfast with more purpose than usual
As we talk about the side effects of the artificial colours and flavours, many affecting us both, she loves the fact that they came from fruits and vegetables and the triple colour combo is “cool”. The box came in a grey postal bag so sadly it was a bit squashed; however, the cereal inside was completely unaffected… most impressive! My daughter also thought the monster mask was awesome but as it was squashed chose not to use it this time, “next time when you get it from the shop Mummy it won’t be wrecked and I will but I will recycle this box for you now” and she did. but better yet is that the type of cardboard looks to be very enviro/recycling friendly and has an encouraging message to recycle.
Although the calories were low the rice puffs are filling and gave plenty of energy to get through to morning tea/ lunch-time even (busy day for me that day haha). we can taste the different flavours that are softly sweet and compliment the choc flavours nicely. I haven’t been to the shop yet so not sure how much the box is… we’re on a tight-ish budget, so if we can’t make it an every week thing we will definitely be adding it into/ using it to replace other treat options! I mean although it doesn’t have the texture of muesli it has vitamins and minerals in it yet way less sugars and again those unrequired calories! We think it’s brilliant, so thanks so much for the opportunity to try before we buy
Oh and the pre+probiotics are a hit as yoghurt is a hard sell for the lunchboxes at times so it gives a bit of piece-of-mind to know there’s another way
Our daughter loved these! So colourful and flavoursome. She enjoyed these with and without milk! Will be a must on our shopping lists.
Thanks for the opportunity to trial healtheries fun puffs. Both of my children aged 11 and 9 have really enjoyed having these for breakfast. I often struggle to get my 11 year old to eat breakfast before she goes to school but these have been great. I love that they have less sugar and no artifical colours or flavours.
I hate to say my boys were not impressed. The younger son thought they tasted artificial and the other one wouldn’t finish the bowl of cereal or the milk. I found them ok tasting, mainly with a chocolate flavour, but not substantial enough. I will probably finish the box by mixing it in with another breakfast cereal.
My 2 little ones loved this. I even stole a taste or two. Thank you for gicing us the opportunity to try these. We loved the beautiful pastel coloured puffs and the suttle taste. Not too overwhelming or too sweet like most of cereals. I buy so many different kinds of cereal and it’s so difficult to find one that you know actually benefits them not onlywith less sugars, colours and preservatives but also aidimg in gut health. A win-win for any mum. Didn’t last very long in my house and I def need to buy some more

Thanks for the opportunity to review this product. I’m quite excited as all three of my children like it! We were at the point where we had about 4-5 different boxes of cereal to cater for their different tastes, so I’m so pleased they all like Healtheries Fun Puffs! It has less sugar than other cereal options my kids like, and I love that it contains Pre and probiotics. I would recommend this to friends and family! Only one issue, the box is quite small and only lasted three days (my oldest kids had them as an after dinner snack too!)
Well this cereal is definitely a new favourite for Miss 4! She is pretty excited to have cereal that contains the colour pink in it too. It really is a delightful flavoured cereal. The sugar content is still quite high for what it is though, compared to some other cereals out there so it won’t be eaten as an every day thing. Or she is happy to mix it sometimes with her weetbix. Not sure if it will be added to our weekly shop but it will definitely be thought about to purchase every now and then, particularly if it is on sale as it is a bit pricey for what it is.
I tried them and did not like them but my 9 year old son said that they were really good. A great product to get instead of cocoa pops as has a much better nutritional value. I am very health conscious so my son usually just has weetbix but I would definitely consider these for him to have for a change.
Thanks so much for allowing my girls to try this delicious cereal! They absolutely loved it, Miss 5 said it tasted just like cocoa pops & Miss 3 said the pink ones were her fave. Both girls said they were crunchy & yummy I will definitely purchase again as a cereal for a treat or special occasion. I was pleasantly surprised by how much sugar there was per serve (4.2g) and yet that it was still sweet enough to eat. I could also eat these if I wanted since they are Gluten Free & it’s fantastic they have the Coeliac NZ badge displayed on the box. Personally I think they are a great price point for a Gluten Free Product and would happily get again. It’s fantastic to see brands including things such as pre & probiotics in their products helping us to keep our kiddies healthy.
Kids absolutely loved this cereal. Mr 3 loved that he could eat it as he is gluten free. They loved the colours and Mum definitely liked the fact it has less sugar. A definite hit in our house.
Holy moly what a trial ! I love the fact this cereal contains pre and probiotics ! Low sugar content yet still draws kids into the goodness , my children 10,5&4 love the cereal , not only do they love the cereal we tested an old fav “rice bubble cake” with these- and all I can say is what a hit rainbow unicorn rice bubble cake is what I’ve been told it’s now called
Thanks again for this trail we love love loveeee it
Mr 10 year old said they are yummy and crunchy. He gave them the
Thanks for the chance to try these with the Grandkids.
The box was a little battered from the courier delivery, but the contents were still fine.
I was pleased to see that the product only had 4.2g of sugar per serving, and no artificial colours, flavours, sweeteners or preservatives.
The box was small, Mum would usually buy a much bigger box of cereal – this wouldn’t last long.
The usually eat porridge or Weetbix. The price of this cereal was much too expensive for the size.
The box itself was attractive, and the kids were excited to try the cereal.
Neither kids are fussy eaters, but both gave the product a thumbs down.
The cereal at first seemed to not have much flavour, but did leave an unpleasant aftertaste which the kids hated.
This is definitely not a product that will be purchased again
My kids were super excited to try this and weren’t disappointed. It’s not something we would normally buy – mainly because of the price – but we will consider it in future as a ‘treat’ cereal. We generally steer away from these sugary sweet cereals so having 40% less sugar we didn’t feel so guilty. In saying that, it’s still not something we’ll allow daily. The taste was great, from my kids perspective and mine! Not too sweet but enough to enjoy. Sometimes use cocoa puffs or similar and this can be a bit overwhelming… so something healthier and not quite so sickley sweet was great for us.
Thanks so much for the opportunity to trial this product. Our box arrived a little damaged from the courier. I liked it was inviting to a child with the cute monster and not relying on a licensed character to draw the child’s attention. Mr 10 and miss 8 were intrigued by the different colours. Miss 8 loved them and compared them to coco pops saying they were the same, she loved still getting her “chocolate milk” at the end. Mr 10 said the pink puffs tasted different, he couldnt quite describe the taste just said different. Miss 19 months happily devoured her bowlful.
The box is quite small, as a family with 4 children, 3 that eat cereal we prefer to buy the larger bags/boxes of cereal that will last until the next grocery shop. The price is a little more than I would normally spend on, would consider buying it when it’s on special.
Thanks for the opportunity to trial Healtheries fun puffs, like a lot of parents I have fussy children so always apprehensive when the kids want to try a new cereal as usually it gets opened and forgotten about but not this time, my 2 year old boy absolutely loves these and has asked for two bowls every morning!
They are an exciting looking cereal and love that they are low in sugar but still taste great, also contain benefits that other cereals don’t like pro and prebiotics.
After trialing this product I wouldn’t hesitate to buy no matter the cost, made in NZ too.
I would absolutely recommend Healheries fun puffs for parents to try for their kids and will continue to buy this in the future
We got these yesterday and tried them this morning. My boys 9, 8 and 5 were excited when they saw the box. My 5 year old loved the monster mask and couldn’t wait for it to all be eaten so he could cut it out.
The colours are cool and exciting and they were excited to see what it tasted like. They liked the flavour so it seems like a good alternative to cocopops but when I tasted it was kinda gross and a little bit cardboard tasting after awhile. One of them loved it to begin with then kinda ended up not being all that excited about wanting more (he usually always wants more cereal). They don’t have sugar in their weatbix or cornflakes and ricies etc so they’re used to cereals not being hard-out sweet, it’s just that odd aftertaste i think. If you’re looking for a low suger and additive-free cereal I guess it’s great.
My daughters had a friend over what what a better time to test this product. 2 of the girls gave it a big thumbs up but my other daughter gave it a thumbs up as she thought it tasted minty. She gave it another go and loved it. My 9 year old has type 1 diabetes so it is hard to find cereal that fits her diet and is not boring. This fitted the criteria perfectly and she is now a happy girl who gets to eat something fun. Miss 5 liked it but was disappointed that her milk did not go a bright colour. so a 3 out of 3 from us
It was pretty exciting for my three year old to receive the opportunity to review Healtheries Fun Puffs. After seeing what the cereal looked like on the box she immediately began craving a taste so I happily obliged. We just mixed the cereal with a bit of milk and although not so appealing to an adult the colours seemed to fascinate my daughter. She ate most of the cereal so I’d call it a win considering there seems to be a bunch of probiotics and probiotics in the cereal. Since the initial taste test she’s tried them twice again and lapped them up so it’s something I would consider buying down track.Sadly my 8 year old wasn’t such a fan but perhaps because she is comparing them to the much more sugary cocoa pops which she’s had before. Thanks for the product review Kidspot!
My 3yr daughter loved these. She is always asking to have some. It even flavours the milk so she gets a yummy drink at the end.
This was a timely product review for our family as my 8 year old has been doing a Food for Thought module at his school where they look at the nutritional value of food and learn about making the right food choices. So essentially he was like a little detective when the pack arrived. He quickly ascertained that the sugar content was still quite high and that this cereal should only be eaten occasionally rather than every day.
Now onto to the taste. Obviously the colours were very appealing to him and his 5 year old sister. I served it up for their breakfast and both said it didn’t really taste like much and weren’t giving it rave reviews. However they ate it all up and have been eating it for breakfast every day since by choice (box is now all gone).
All in all they liked it, but I would only be looking to buy it again as a special treat given that we now have our little sugar monitor in our house checking the values on cereals. I did like the probiotics/prebiotics content though. Thank you for the opportunity to try out this product.
Thanks so much for choosing us to review this cereal!! My 7 year old daughter is really fussy (not to mention Gluten Free) when it comes to breakfast foods – so she was pretty excited to get this. We loved the colourful box with the cute little aliens on the front
Made in NZ, Gluten Free with 40% less sugar I mean sounds pretty wonderful! My daughter also loved how the back of the box has a mask you can cut out to wear once you have finished with the cereal. We really liked how the little rice puffs are different colours, makes it more fun. She loves to tip them into the bowl then add the milk herself. I think we have definitely found a winner in this cereal for my daughter as she really likes the taste and they are a lot better for her than other cereals being lower in sugar and the Gluten Free for us is the most important. I checked them at the local supermarket and they are $7.99 normal price – for us that’s a bit on the pricey side, but on special would be fine and gluten free items are more expensive anyway so to be expected. We will definitely buy this again! Thanks Kidspot and Healtheries!!
I trialed the Healtheries fun puffs on my nearly 2 year old and 8 year old daughters and myself, and we all liked the taste and look of the cereal. The packaging size is definitely quite small if more than one person is eating it regularly for breakfast, the price quite high considering the size of the product. The packaging is maybe not appealing to all smaller children, who might experience the monster as quite scary. I like the idea that this is a product that appeals to kids due to shape and colour of the cereal, and is healthy and beneficial at the same time. I might buy the product again if on special, but generally find it too expensive for the budget of our family.
My 2 year old loves this cereal! The colours make it fun to eat and a bit of a teaching experience too chatting about the different colours together. They taste delicious and I had no trouble getting my 2 and 7 year old to eat them, as often with gluten free products the taste isn’t there but these are great! Will definitely purchase again!
When I opened the package, my girls were attracted by the colorful looking of the puffs immediately and they just couldn’t wait to taste them! They loved the flavor in no time and told me they liked the mixed flavors of berries and chocolate. My older daughter even took her time to pick the chocolate ones from her bowl and put them in her milk glass saying it was her hot chocolate! My younger daughter then asked for a bowl of the colorful puffs only for every day as her breakfast! Oh, by the way, my older daughter cut the mask off the box as well while I even didn’t notice there was such a fun activity attached on my first sight! I can see they really have fun with this product and I appreciate the healthy ingredients from a mum’s perspective. : D
Thanks for the chance to review this cereal and as the kids love the Healtheries snacks I thought it would be a sure winner. Unfortunately Master 5 wasn’t impressed at all and Miss 3 after eagerly trying to rip the box to shreds trying to get to the actual cereal to try it out initially liked it and loved the colours, but hasn’t asked to have it for breakfast since. I was personally a bit disappointed to find out that even with 40% less sugar it still had 14.1g of sugar per 100g, which puts in on the high end of sugary cereals we eat in the house. I was really hoping to find a less sugary cereal to offer to the kids and would have happily paid slightly more than we normally do for a less sugary alternative that they actually enjoy, but it was not to be.
I had seen these around, and with the statement of 40% less sugar then other cereals, I had wanted to try them. But because they have a higher price than I normally pay for kids cereal, I was thrilled to be part of the trial to try.
Less sugar, made in NZ, no artificial colours or flavours and no artificial sweeteners or preservatives. Sounded awesome! But I had to sell it to the kids.
Miss 8 likes Nutragrain and Weetbix as cereals, while Miss 4 likes Ricies and Cocopops (treat breakfast).
I set up a little self-serve station each for them and got them to try the cereal without me around. I showed them the 3 different colours to excite them.
The taste, however, did not hold up again the hype of the look. They just didn’t like the flavour, and the green coloured ones put them off from trying too much more than a few bites each.
But I’m glad they tried them, but they’re sadly just not for us.
