Our trial box of Nibblish snacking fruit arrived today and master 10 and miss 8 were keen to try them all . 😉
The packaging is solid but definitely child friendly and both were able to successfully open the package.
We noticed immediately the generous amount inside the packet… Definitely enough to last some time.
What our little people noticed straight away that the fruit pieces actually look like fruit, just dried up, they aren’t super pretty but smell delicious as soon as you open the package. we talked about the information in the box and how processed similar products are… I actually found this confronting as I wasn’t aware.
The kids thought the texture of the fruit was perfect and they thought strawberries had a texture similar to chewy lollies… Which made me think these were a perfect substitute.
The flavours were subtle because they’re real flavours, they’re sweet but with a tangy hint that you get from real fruit – it made me realise how much flavour enhances and chemicals go into some food – definitely confronting again. The kids loved the flavours.
Of all five flavours strawberry, cranberry, mango and apricot were the favourites – these four have a soft tender texture. Pineapple wasn’t in their top pick because they found it more stringy in texture and took longer to chew – I however loved it and would definitely buy it for myself.
I’ve seen these products in the supermarkets and wondered what they would be like, thanks so much for allowing us to trial them.. they were definately a win in our house and I’m going to continue purchasing them…. I’m also going to purchase some for our kindergarten children.💕

PS….the kids absolutely love the bottom of the packet which says….’stop looking at my bottom’…. Lots of giggles over this tonight 🤣

Wow wow wow! Nibbling have the most beautifully and thoughtfully presented product I have tried for a while. There packaging is spot on and it was sooo appealing to the kids, who were very excited for afternoon tea!
As a Mum I appreciated knowing that Nibblish are serious about helping Mums in Ghana and providing stable work. Ka pai!
Now onto the eating part. To be honest they are not as visually appealing as other dried fruits, but I loved how clear the packaging was because it is 100% fruit. So good, that’s what I want to feed the kids!!
My favourite was the apricot, so sweet and juicy without any of the sometimes overwhelming tang that other brands have. The kids voted Mango as it was “yummy and chewy,” Cranberry as it was “just yummy” and Strawberry as it was “yummy and nice” And the baby just said “yeah”. Obviously my children need to learn some more descriptive words for food but it was all well loved.

It will definitely go in the lunchboxes next week. (tomorrow is school picnic day so perhaps we’ll take some also!)

Thanks so much Kidspot and Nibblish!
(Ps, love that a lot of the fruit is grown in NZ!!)

These look delicious, Apricot would definitely be our pick – we eat a lot of dried apricots so trying them a new way would be really nice. This time of year we have the luxury of fresh apricots which are also a real treat. I’m a kindergarten teacher so I’m also always looking for pantry foods for our kindergarten stocks – we often feed our children when they get carried away nibbling through their lunch box kai.

I would love to trial either really! My 4yr old has sensory processing disorder and I really struggle to get him to eat new things! I think this would be a great way to get him to try new fruit flavours to help him potentially try new fruit in the future 🙂

I am forever on the look out for nutritious snacks for my nearly 2 year old. We would love to try the apricot flavour! All the flavours sound yum though.

    28. Phowe63 11/02/2020 at 5:08 pm

Apricot is a favorite in our house at the moment

    29. Kat555 11/02/2020 at 11:46 am

I’m always on the lookout for nutritious snacks that for the kids to eat and snack on. They are naturally drawn to the sugary artificial snacks which I am trying to steer them away from. We do lots of after school activities so it would be great to give them a packet of these to munch on when we are in a hurry or in their lunch box! Because I don’t always have time to make exciting nutritious snacks for lunch. I’m busy! We would really love to try the cranberry flavour. All the flavours sound pretty amazing though. Might have to sneak a few for me too!

    30. Doraawyong1982 11/02/2020 at 8:57 am

Both sound yummy, cranberry please if we have to choose! 8 and 4 yos, thanks!
