star rating 5

We’ve been lucky enough to receive 30 kits of the soon to be released Nurofen for Children FeverSmart Temperature Monitor and we want to know your thoughts!

With added benefits for your little one, this innovative new wearable baby monitor is designed to allow parents to continuously and accurately monitor their child’s fever without disturbing their sleep.

This discreet, non-invasive device gently attaches to your baby’s underarm using an adhesive strip made from medical grade silicone that provides pain-free removal. It then transmits your baby’s temperature continuously to a free app on your smartphone or other device that will notify you if your baby’s temperature is in the high range (if push notifications are enabled).

The highlights:

  • Suitable for children aged 0 – 3 years
  • Automatic push notifications to a free app when temperature is outside of normal range
  • Tracks symptoms and medication
  • App allows you to create individual profiles so you can monitor your children individually
  • FeverSmart uses low energy Bluetooth, with emissions considerably lower than phones and other household items
  • The Bluetooth range is up to 40m in open sight. The base station should be within 1.5m of the monitor

Hitting the shelves mid-Feb 2018 (so consider this your VIP insight), the FeverSmart Monitor retails at $149.99 and will be available at local pharmacies and baby outlets.

My little 9month old son has had two bouts of Croup within 6 weeks of each other which resulted in two trips to hospital during the early hours of the morning. Now that he’s started daycare I know he’s open to more sickness. Having this monitor would mean a more accurate tracking of his temperature instead of holding a thermometer under his squirmy armpit for 30seconds to get a reading which may not even be accurate. This would help our little family immensely

This would be amazing for us as first time parents to our 6 week old baby girl. We are learning as much as she is and I have to admit to having anxiety over everything especially her feeling ill and us not being able to tell that she is quickly enough. It would be amazing to have that available to us so thank you for the chance. We’ve got our fingers crossed 🙂

My 19 month old suffers from regular earaches and burst ear drums, this would be amazing to be able to monitor her temperature. I would love to trial this and give feedback.

I would love to try this for my little girl. It can be so hard on her trying to take her temperature while shes sick. This would give me peace of mind while shes sleeping too as I know I can be notified if there is any spike in her temp. Even if i’m not lucky enough to be chosen, well done guys for bringing out such an amazing thermometer, i’m sure it will be a huge hit.

This would be amazing to try. I have a 2 year old who I can never get a temp from whenever he is sick. I would love to give this a try

I have a 2 years old and have always struggled to take her temp! I would love to give this a try with her. To be able to take her temp without waking or disturbing her would be great!

What an incredible device. We are a tech-loving family, and are very keen on Apps and Devices that care for our home and family. When my little one is sick, particularly with a high temperature, we’re up all night with worry – always checking on her, fumbling with the thermometer in the dark, hoping it goes in the ear without waking her, and then darting back out of the room to see what the temperature is, before she is woken, or we trip on the toys getting out of the room quietly!! Medicine in the middle of the night is a constant watch to ensure the temperature/fever eases – but that’s more trips to her room with the thermometer every 20 minutes to make sure she’s okay. She has just started kindergarten so I imagine the bugs will be plentiful, and fevers will be our new normal while she builds that Kindy immunity, so a FeverSmart Temperature monitor would be put to great use, and would be amazing to trial and write a review on for other families! It will also help this mummy worry less, especially at night, as I can watch from my phone which is by my bed and let little miss have a better nights sleep to fight those bugs, and maybe get a little rest myself!

Wow what a fantastic looking product, I would love the opportunity to trial this as I have an 11 month old who has started preschool and as we all know can pickup little bugs that can make them unwell. I have yet to find a trusting temperature monitor that reads correctly and that is safe to use and that will not discomfort my baby when needing to check her. Please choose me as I would love to have the opportunity to trial this.
    Many thanks.

I would love to have the opportunity to try this product with my 2yr old. I am a huge fan of nurofen and this is an added bonus. I have struggled in the past with fever monitoring devices and this looks awesome! Please consider my little family and will make taking temperatures easier 😊

Yes please as a mumma of a 2 year old and a newborn on the way this would be so helpful! My little boy had grommet surgery at the end of last year and ever since then has hated the in ear thermometer! It’s such a battle to get his temp! This would completely solve that and give me the peace of mind that at all times he’s ok.

  11. siobhanguy 12/02/2018 at 2:42 pm

This would be prefect for our family. We have a 6yr old and a newborn. Our newborn was sick a while back and it was terribly hard to get a temp reading from the underarm thermometer.

  12. Craig Lovegrove 12/02/2018 at 2:41 pm

This would be so usefull as I currently don’t even have an ordinary thermometer, let alone know how to tell if my kids have a fever.

  13. BusyMum34 12/02/2018 at 2:34 pm

This would be amazing. We have 3 children and the oldest 2 have health problems so we spend a fair chunk of time up and down in the night. (Not every night though thankfully) Our 3rd child is our wee man, he is 15 months and has been reasonably healthy until he started 1 day a week at preschool and has now had lots of bugs. As a baby he had apneas so its stressful enough when he is sick but it would be awesome to be able to monitor his temp and have one less thing to stress about. He is a VERY active toddler so it would also be great during the day as he doesn’t stop for anything! This looks like such a cool product.

  14. lisabell 12/02/2018 at 2:29 pm

This would be so good, we’ve just had a bad run of colds/chest infections accompanied by fevers and vomiting in this house with our just turned 3 year old and a bad cold with our 6 month old baby both had high fevers and trying to check and moniter them with a underarm thermometer was incredibly tricky. It certainly has highlighted to me how useful this would be, would love to trial this product.

I would love to be able to trial this product, I have a 7.5 month old and it is so hard to get her temperature and get her to stay still long enough to get a reading. It would be amazing to be able to monitor her when a fever hits or she is unwell without disturbing her sleep. Will give me so much peace of mind. She was sick so often last year with regular hospital appointments and having to go out in the cold in the middle of winter for the first 3 months of her life!
I wish something like this had been around when my now 3.5 year old was little!!

  16. Jay 12/02/2018 at 2:19 pm

Wow this sounds like a very clever product. It would be very beneficial in our household for me to use with Mr 2, he started daycare end of last year and has had some horrible illnesses with fevers, I usually tend to put him in with us so I can keep an eye on him when they are really high but it doesn’t give us a great sleep. This would give me peace of mind when he’s in his own bed recovering.

  17. ClareKiwi 12/02/2018 at 2:17 pm

This sounds like a fantastic product to try out. We have a 1 year old and a 3 year old and another older child, it would be great to be able to use a product like this to avoid having to remember to check regularly but still be aware of changes in temperature, even when the little ones are asleep, I imagine it would be super useful for young babies and first time parents – peace of mind! Having a secure and portable record of temperature changes and fluctuations would be great, along with notes about when medication was given – so handy for trips to the doctors.

  18. Cheekybabes 12/02/2018 at 2:07 pm

Wow, this sounds amazing! My two littlies are both in daycare so tend to pick up bugs on a regular basis. My son was unwell just last week with a high temp and this would have been amazing to be able to monitor him without disturbing his much needed sleep to help him get over the bug. It also sounds great being able to record all info in the one place ready to show the doctor!

  19. Tinaksmith 12/02/2018 at 2:05 pm

As a hyper-vigilant mum of 3, with my yongest having just turned 3, I am used to getting sleepless nights, worrying about my littlies when they have a fever. My pain relief of choice is already nurofen for children- because of the genius medicine dropper system , and this product blows me away….. I’m in awe as I’m considering it… you mean.. I can lie in bed yet still check they are ok?? Instead of being up 8 times a night, I could be up maybe once or twice? I’m in love with the idea. It makes so much sense! Peace of mind that not just me, but all parents could achieve, in a clever little silicone angel?? I would very much love to have the opportunity to try this out.

We would absolutely LOVE to be chosen for this trial! Our little girl is 15 months old and is currently having a terrible time with her teeth as she is teething 🙁 To be able to monitor her without disturbing her sleep would be a godsend for both her and us. We are a tech-friendly family and we enjoy using products that utilise the technology that we have on hand (we have a baby monitor app that has been fantastic). Please consider us for this trial. Our little would be much happier and less affected by sleep disruption because of it.

  21. Cazper 12/02/2018 at 2:03 pm

What a great idea. When little miss two has that temperature in the middle of the night its impossble to get a reading under the arm. I like the idea it can be safely monitored while getting some rest… hopefully!

  22. Stevieave 12/02/2018 at 2:03 pm

I have to toddlers that go to pre school full time so are always picking up an illness now and then. My daughter especially is quite susceptible to fevers in varying degrees. I constantly check on her when she’s napping and this would definitely save me waking or disturbing her while she sleeps.

  23. Tolson2412 12/02/2018 at 1:59 pm

I would love to trail this product. My little man is a trooper and keeps chugging along most of the time, but when a fever hits it hits him hard. I love the thought of a product where you don’t have to mess baby about to monitor his temperature. This would give so much peace of mind.

  24. Stelley22 12/02/2018 at 1:57 pm

This would be great in our house with a toddler who hates having her temp taken and fights us off especially when not well so can never get an accurate reading

  25. Avahjane 12/02/2018 at 1:57 pm

I would love to trial this product I have 3 kids 5 and under who have low iron and low immune systems last winter we were going doctor’s 3 times a week. Something like this would be great

  26. Court_olson 12/02/2018 at 1:54 pm

THIS device would be amazing especially with our 3 beautiful girls who are all under 5. I currently have the under arm thermometer and last week it was mission trying to get the temp of miss 4.5 as it took so long to beep. I’m dreading the time I have to take miss 4 months and miss 19 months temperatures with it whilst they wiggle around! This would enable our lives and health of our 3 girls to be monitored efficiently. Well done Nurofen would an awesome thing you have brought out 🙂

  27. AmandaB 12/02/2018 at 1:52 pm

I would love to be selected to trial this for my 4 month old. He had a stint in nicu to start as was unable to maintain a steady temp so taking his temp through the night is still a frequent occurrence. Would be so handy to try this new technology which sounds like it would be a lot less stressful for all involved!

  28. TenikaW 12/02/2018 at 1:49 pm

This handy wee device would be so useful in my household. My partner and I currently have a 3 year old, 10 month old and a baby girl due at the end of May. My partner is such a worry wart and constantly checking our kids especially when they are sick. Being able to check their temperature particularly while they are sleeping would be so handy rather than disturb a sleeping baby. With soon to be 3 children, sleep is going to be precious!! I would love to be considered for this product trial 😊

  29. Newkiwi 12/02/2018 at 1:47 pm

My daughter has recently just had temps of high 39s/40 we tried fighting the temperatures for hours. A monitoring system like this would have saved the endless tears of trying to get an accurate temperature and knowing when to act. Doctor had advised us only.to.go.to the hospital once temperature was at 40. What was expected viral infection turned out to be something more and the temperatures where the only indication of the infection. If only we had this to pick up the temp instantly rather than checking half hourly.

We would love the opportunity to be considered to review this product on our two little boys. What an amazing idea.. I hate having to wake my children when checking there temperatures by sticking something in there ear they need as much sleep as possible when they are sick so disturbing them isn’t ideal.. My 1 year old isn’t the biggest fan of getting his temperature taken so this could be a great thing for us.. With winter just around the corner and with the sicknesses that are tied to that we would really appreciate the opportunity to trial this product.
