My kids were excited when a little package arrived and even more excited when they opened it and saw it was for them. Even better, that it had delicious treats!
I have five children so to find a snack that they ALL like and that isn’t full of sugar can be difficult at times but, I can happily say my kids loved these!
My school age kids have requested them for in their lunchboxes and we have since purchased more. They have since become a school, sports, snack staple in our home.
Each piece of freeze dried fruit has such a strong and beautiful flavour. I was pleasantly surprised when I tried them at how each piece was absolutely delicious, crunchy and full of flavour.
My little girls (3 & 5) loved that the berries were still whole and enjoyed making magical stories about how they were frozen by fairies which is why they are so yummy. I found that by having the fruit presented to them in a different way created intrigue and delight.
Kids love them, mummy loves them and overall, highly-qualified recommend.
Lucky enough to be chosen to review New Zealand Apple Products and we were not disappointed! Having tried the Just Apple Fruit Noodles my kids were excited to try the apple sticks and safe to say they loved them since they demolished the packet. Would be awesome to buy them at our local PaknSav but would definitely buy these online from New Zealand Apple Products 🙂 being huge apple fans my kids will be trying the Apple Chips next as per their request and we anticipate It will be just as great! Will be sharing these treats with their little cousins on the next play date! Sooo good!!!
My children absolutely loved the fruit medley they are now our go-to snack to keep in the car. My 2yr old could nearly eat the whole lot herself in a sitting!
We hadn’t tried these before but have had the apple chips prior. The kids definitely give the medley their preference. We have already purchased more from Countdown and told family too about these fantastic products! I need more for the boys lunchboxes for school!

I had seen some nz apple products before but hadn’t tried them before.
My kids loved the apple sticks. They also liked the various fruit in the fruit medley one but found the strawberries abit big being whole.
I’ll be looking out for these when I do the shop at pak n save.
I would definitely look to try other products from nz apple and will check out their online store directly to see what other products they have.
I have 4 kids 8yrs, 5 yrs, 3yrs and 10months and love that this was a snack everyone could enjoy.

Yes, they are good for lunch boxes as you don’t need to cut them up and then they get squashed or brown which we know kids do not like. You can portion them out and give a serving each day. Flavours are yummmm. AND THERE FRUIT

My 6year old liked the apple sticks and my 11 month old was a big fan of the berries in the mixed pack.
We would purchase from supermarket if not over priced
We would purchase online if shipping wasn’t excessive as we are rural
We have purchased the purees but haven’t seen other products available yet.
These definitely did not last long in our house! We loved how crunchy they were, particularly the texture of the apple sticks. We ate them straight out of the packet and on our muesli with yoghurt.
We loved this trial of the freeze dried fruits they are delicious! The packets were gone in an afternoon. I enjoyed the kiwi fruit and strawberries, kids loved it all so I’ll be purchasing some more! Only thing we had a bit of trouble with was the opening of the bags, the tear piece didn’t open the bag fully so we had to cut it but wasn’t a problem. Yummy healthy and I’m sure this product will do well.
We were luckly enough to be chosen to review these yummy fruit treats. My 10 year old ate the whole packet of the apple sticks over a period of a day, not so much the fruit medley. I asked him why he wasn’t keen on the medley and his response was ”the fruit was too big and I would have to chew to much”. I ate the medley and found it very yummy. Will definitely recommend both and would be another option for fruit in the lunchbox.
Thank you for the chance to review the freeze dried apple sticks and fruit medley. I left them on the bench and my toddler had opened the packet when he got up in the morning and put them in a bowl to eat, almost the entire packet they were that good. He absolutely loved them, except the small blueberries which he said were quite sour. I managed to try a few bits before he polished off the lot. The apple sticks are a great snack, perfect size for little hands and to go in the lunchbox. I did find the fruit medley bits were a bit softer than the apple sticks. The Kiwifruit pieces had a slight over ripe taste to them, my toddler did not notice it and was happy with them but I was not a fan of the kiwifruit bits. The pack size is great, you could have them last over the course of a week for lunchboxes. I would prefer to buy in the supermarket than online unless there was a good special for buying online. I had not heard of them before but would keep a look out for them if they do go to supermarkets. If I had younger children I would be interested in the other products but as I have an older toddler he likes more solid food than mush. I would recommend these to other people I know with smaller children or for an easy fruit snack.
Tried straight from the packet the Apple sticks, must say they didn’t last very long at all. The kids and I ate the lot! Great snack option to put on porridge, cereal or muffins. Very tasty and easy to eat.
The fruit medley is amazing again we just tried as a fresh fruit snack. We plan to use for hiking and sports. Especially longer tramps as they are light and easy to carry. Big fans will definitely purchase again.
All the kids loves these, including myself lol. The berries were a bit tart but overall and enjoyable snack that is healthy!
They did not last long enough to get good pictures unfortunately but that’s a sign how good they were. If these were reasonably priced I would definitely purchase again for the kids lunchboxes and as a snack for myself that is good for me!

My daughter and I really enjoyed both products and ate them all pretty quickly but my son wasn’t too keen on either of them, he found them a bit sour (although thats not unusual for him). I would purchase these again especially for decorating and flavour to use on cakes and cupcakes and also for snacking on their own.
I would buy instore but not likely to purchase online (due to paying for the delivery costs on top of the product).

We got to try the Fruit Medley and the Freeze Dried Apple sticks. I hadn’t heard of NZ Apple Products so we were interested in trying them to see what they were like. My Son wasn’t so keen on them as he said it was quite sour but my Daughter loved them especially the Fruit Medley. She said even though they weren’t really sweet it was just the way she likes them. I preferred the Apple sticks as they had the right taste and were quite moreish. I am a fan of Apple chips myself and really liked the sticks because they were quite crunchy. My children quite like apple chips but quite often different brand of Apple chips would have parts of the core in them. So the freeze dried ones are perfect as they didn’t have parts of the core in them. It was very convenient in the package and the right size for our Pantry. I would love to see them in our local Store like New World and Pak n Save. My daughter likes variety in her lunch box and a healthier snack after School. Freezed Dried Apple sticks and the Fruit Medley had a really nice texture and crunch to it. My Daughter really liked the Gold Kiwi Fruit in the pack along with the other flavor’s. It was a great blend of fruit and not just the one type of fruit with a good ratio mix. I would rather buy in a Supermarket Rather than online and would really loved to see them in store. I was talking to our local New World and I told the Manager about them and he said hopefully the Supermarkets would be offered a chance to sell them. I would totally recommend the product to my friends and family. Hopefully we will see them in the shops in the future because I would definitely buy them. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to try a really nice product as we are always on the hunt for Products like Freeze dried Apples and Fruit Medley as something different for our lunch boxes and snacks
These are very different. A sweet taste thats is a healthier option. I got the package and opened them at work to try a couple before the kids. They really do have a punch of the fruit flavours. After I got home the kids had a try, they enjoyed trying all the different fruits, they were kind of excited. I will be popping them in as a snack for school or for after sports games etc. Love that you can reseal the bags too, and the packaging itself looks great. Thank you for the opportunity to try these. We will purchase them in the future.

One daughter liked the apple sticks the best.
She has been taking these in her lunch each day which is great for us as hard to get her to eat fruit in her lunch. We have been buying these since the trail and will continue to.
My other daughter loves the berries. The boysenberries and strawberries especially. Love that they get excited to eat these products as it seems a treat to them.

We were lucky enough to be chosen to review this amazing product. We have previously had the apple chips before and the kids really loved them. So to try the other products was awesome. The kids loved the apple and kiwifruit the most, the texture and the strength of the flavour of the raspberry and strawberry they were not keen on but we put them into a chocolate mousse which they loved it. We would love to see the apple chips in all supermarkets for sure. Online would be a great option as well. If online would prefer to buy directly from the company. I would love to see how these products handle been baked in brownies etc. Will have to get some more to try.
Well the cherubs were excited that we were selected for this yummy trial. Master 3, Miss 2 and little Miss 9 months found these tasty morsels to their liking. The apple sticks were a particular favourite and the perfect snack, especially for little fingers. The fruit medley was also a hit and great to slip in to a bowl of yogurt or oats for breakfast.
The easy sealed pack is convenient and inviting. I love that it’s pure New Zealand fruit and apples and contains no preservatives or sulphites.
I will be buying these from my local supermarket for the children and think they are a wonderful alternative to the not so healthy snacks. The fact they love them is pretty awesome too!

I hadn’t seen them before but have since seen the apple sticks in our local pak n save.
These were perfect for lunchboxes for our family, my 5 year old is becoming fussy but loved all of the offerings and thought it was hilarious that the skin was on the kiwi fruit!
My 3 year old is partially tube fed and needs a bit more support with eating. These dissolved really well and I’m confident she can manage them in her lunchbox which is awesome as she often get the same things pretty much everyday, so good to mix it up for her.
My 1 year old eats most things and I am happy for her to eat them too unchanged as I feel they are a low choking hazard for her.
As we are a busy family, lots of snacks are eaten in the car on the way to adventures and the fruit medley as well as the apple sticks are perfect for all of us.
I love that there is no added sugars or unpronounceable ingredients on the packet, I love the long best before date and I love that they are made in New Zealand too. I will be cutting the zip seal off the top to recycle the packaging in the soft plastics collection but I’m wondering if there is a more sustainable way to package.
I will be purchasing these in the future, especially over winter when the fresh fruit selection is minimal as lunchbox snacks.
These were great for our family of 5 to try, the perfect lunchbox item! The apple sticks were liked by 1 out of 3 children, and the fruit medley was liked by 2 out of 3 children. The berry selection in the fruit medley was a favorite but the fact that the apples cores (and hard bits) were all included in the apple sticks wasn’t overly enjoyed. Possibly not something we would buy due to the mixed options. Thank you! 🙂

The packaging is great, really eye-catching (have since noticed in the baking aisle at my supermarket) and so handy that they’re resealable. We hadn’t heard of NZ Apple Products before this trial, but so glad to know about them now! Both of the products were delicious – big hits! We preferred the freeze dried fruit medley – it was great to have a selection of different fruit in this one, really fun. These products were delicious on their own, and we particularly enjoyed the fruit medley on top of our porridge – delicious and looks so exotic!
I’d purchase this from my supermarket and have noticed it in the baking aisle which is convenient. I probably wouldn’t purchase this from the NZ apple products online store unless it was free shipping and priced the same as at the supermarket. I haven’t seen any of their other products but would definitely be keen to try them if I see them at the supermarket.

My toddler and I used the products in our baking of bread, purple bread might I add. There were a few sneaky tastes of the products as they came out the packet, and we must say they were crispy and delicious. We had not used or heard of the Apple Fruit Sticks or Fruit Medley before the trial, but will definitely be purchasing them in the future.
Not only were they a great snack on their own, but so versatile! From on top of porridge, dunked in yogurt and also baked with (like we did, we also made an apple crumble with both products as well as our purple bread). They would also be fantastic on a cheese platter.

Thanks Kidspot NZ for giving me the opportunity to be part of the trial team. I loved the packaging and also the fact that it can be easily sealed back. My kids got interested in trying just by looking at the beautiful packs. They tried a few pieces but couldn’t eat much at a time because it was bit sour for them. So I tired with cereal, and it tasted better. It’s a good way for kids to have some healthy snacks and treats.
I was thrilled to find out we’d got the chance to try these products. I had tried the apple chips and rings before, although hadn’t made the connection between this product and the ones I tried before. I like that there is a competitor to an existing brand that does freeze dried fruit and this product is more of a family friendly price. These would be great to put in lunch boxes, to take along on a tramping trip. They’d be good with porridge or muesli too. My kids found them a bit sour, although my son did say ‘They’ re OK… I’d probably keep the apple chips for older kids only as I’d be worried smaller kids might choke on the little pieces. This might be a good way to get kids to try fruit! I’d Probably I’d buy them from the supermarket. I’m not a big Internet shopper!

I didn’t even get a chance to take a picture. The kids ate all the freeze dried fruit for afternoon teas while I was at work. Yummy and crunchy they said. While they liked the apple sticks as well the fruit medley was the clear favourite. Nice to have a healthy crunch snack on hand. The resealable bag is great for keeping the product fresh.
Yes I had heard of NZ Apple Products before the trial My children preferred Dried Apple Sticks. Not too sweet. I would buy from supermarkets – Pac n Sav , New World or Countdown. I do not buy anything online. I would buy other products – Freeze Dried Mixed Berry and Just Apple Noodles. I would recommend NZ Apple products to friends and family. We were very lucky to be selected for the New Zealand Apple Products trial, we had tried the apple sticks before but not the fruit medley.
We loved both products but the Fruit Medley was definitely the favourite. Amazingly crunchy and flavourful with a beautiful balance of tart and sweet.
I would definitely buy any NZ Apple Products both in my local supermarket and online
I have already recommended these to all my family and friends as they really are an excellent product.
We were lucky enough to be chosen to trial these products. I was stunned how fast my 2 and 4yr olds devoured both packets. They haven’t really been too interested in dried products before but loved these. My 2yr old cried when the dried strawberries ran out. I would 100% recommend these to others and when I find them in supermarkets will happily buy them myself. I hadn’t heard of this brand before but will be looking out for their products now. Not sure about buying online unless there’s a bulk or cost effective option.
