While it is important to take care of yourself all the time; pregnant and breastfeeding mothers need to ensure they are getting enough nutrients for their needs at this essential stage of their lives.  Puria® understand that you don’t always have time to stop and whip up something nutritious, so they have created their Mother’s nutritional supplement Dairy Drink to help support your growing nutritional needs.

Containing folic acid, iron, vitamin D and iodine, the Puria® Mother’s nutritional supplement Dairy Drink is full of dairy goodness without the lactose.  This means that it delivers the benefits of calcium and protein, present in dairy products, to women who are possibly lactose sensitive.  Easy to drink, and unlike most pregnancy and breastfeeding supplements, it tastes delicious in either a Crème Brulee or Chocolate flavour.

Puria® Mother’s nutritional supplement Dairy Drink comes ready to drink in a handy 250mL screw-top bottle, and can be brought individually, or in a 24-bottle carton.  No preparation required.  Just shake and drink!  Store in a cool, dry place.  Puria®Mothers nutritional supplement Dairy Drink doesn’t need to be refrigerated (but we think it tastes better when chilled).

As always – once opened it must be refrigerated and consumed within 3 days.

I was really excited to be selected for the review as I am constantly hungry breastfeeding my 9 month old. The drink is a convenient pick me up and both flavours were yummy! I’ll look to buy them as a nutritious supplement to my meals.

It was definitely a nice change to having a coffee in the afternoon, with it being so hot lately.
I loved the chocolate flavoured one. It tasted like the calci-yum yoghurt.
The creme brûlée tasted like a watered down caramel milkshake. It was okay to drink but I would definately pick the chocolate over that any day.
I used the drinks as a pick me up in the afternoon-to see if this would be a good choice instead of a coffee.
I’ve only tried one other breastfeeding drink supplement (with my first) and would definately prefer the Puria range.
Would be great if it had another flavour or two to pick from. Especially if someone really didn’t like one of the flavours.
I don’t mind the look of the packaging; however a bit more colour might make me more likely to spot it on the shelf.
Would definately prefer a bigger drink size-especially for the hotter months 😊
I would recommend to others; however if I was to buy off the shelf myself…it’s going to come down to costs and budgets
    Thanks for the opportunity!

The puria mothers dairy drinks are really good. It was hard to decide witch one was better. It was nice to no that I could drink knowing that it was lactose free. And it was a good boost to my day as I’m also caffeine free. I also like that there was all the good stuff in there for my little one as well.

What a great time to be sampling the Puria Mothers Dairy Drink…..When I first glanced at the packaging my first impressions was that it was very plain and non exciting I thought the white made it look to sterile and uninviting to the consumer. Liked that it was made in New Zealand. This is definitely a drink to be consumed cold. I personally preferred the chocolate which was lovely with no fake after taste. It was a lovely chocolate drink which is likened to a Primo chocolate drink. Creme Brulee flavour I felt was weak and tasted like slightly caramalised sugered watered down milk, not my favorite out of the two. Would be nice to see perhaps a strawberry flavour ? Great idea for us mums who want to be kind on our bodies especially during such tiring times. I thought the size was perfect amount for a quick drink between feeds. Now if only their was a suitable energy drink for us tired mums who need a pick me up without the need to drink coffee with awesome health benefits. Thank you for allowing me to trial this product. I would have to say that I most likely won’t purchase this is future as I would prefer a energy fruit juice to a milk product. Thanks Gemma

These drinks were great and very tasty. I suspected I might only like the chocolate one but I actually really enjoyed the Creme Brûlée flavour. I used them first thing in the morning while making lunches before the school and Kindy run and it kept me going between feeds before I can get a chance to make breakfast.

Am constantly feeding a very hungry 6month old, I really enjoyed the drink – knowing it is full of good things to give me the energy I need to get through the day is great. I absolutely adored the choc, the bottle was empty way too quickly. I would love to be drinking this daily, however the price point is a little high for me at this (non working!) Stage. Highly recommend the drink though:) would make an awesome gift for a new mum to be, that has everything!

I was so excited to be selected to trial these Puria drinks as my 5m old has just started teething so is waking more during the nights so I needed a pick me up. I had mine for morning tea and loved how there is no prep require so I could just grab and drink it. I felt the bottle size could be a bit bigger, as it just disappeared so fast. The Rich Chocolate was by far my favourite, creme brulee not so much, as it didn’t have much flavour. A strawberry or banana flavour would be nice. I loved how it has the extra nutrition I need as a breastfeeding mum, especially iron. I will be on the lookout for the chocolate one on my next shopping trip!

  8. Thevinia 18/12/2017 at 9:59 pm

Loved the Chocolate Flavour the most out of the two. I would definitely buy this product if it was reasonably priced. Would be good to have them in cartons like the up and go.

  9. Mautopia 17/12/2017 at 10:06 pm

These drinks couldn’t have arrived at a better time. I knew I was run down and running around after my troups at this time of the year definitely takes its wear on production… as well as it being so hot. I especially love that there is iron included in the drinks.. I often struggle with my iron levels. I really liked the taste of the chocolate one, the creme brulee was not really to my liking but they definitely did the trick.. normally I would have to stop and take time out but both days I managed to keep going and keep up my supply to “missy’s” demands. Thank you so much for the opportunity to trial both these and the Vitamin D drops.

  10. annajane89 17/12/2017 at 7:41 pm

These drinks were amazing, and quite perfect on a day when it was so hot and I felt like I didn’t have much in the tank. I had it in the afternoon, and it satisfied my hunger all the way through to dinner, and the chocolate one was my favourite. Thanks also to Puria for the Vitamin D drops, so keen to start these with my nearly 1 year old. Great products you are producing!

I found the drinks great as a morning tea snack. Very filling and yummy flavours. I loved the fact that they are lactose free, as I have been quite sensitive to dairy since having my baby. I also feel as though the drinks increased my milk supply which was a great added bonus!

  12. sarahnrob 17/12/2017 at 9:36 am

These came at a perfect time when I was travelling away from home 3 days for work and needing to express a lot to keep up with the needs of my youngest. I get thirsty and tired at times like this and these drinks were just right to give me an energy boost on the go. They aren’t too thick like others I have tried so easy to drink. The taste isn’t strong which I think would be good if you were pregnant.

  13. samara 17/12/2017 at 2:30 am

The flavours were both yummy and filling. I drunk them as a morning snack and was satisfied until lunch,They were a little sweet and I would be happy to have added milk to them but still nice. The size was good and I liked the brulee one best. They are handy to take out and have in your bag in case!

  14. Mummyof3 16/12/2017 at 11:37 am

I liked the taste of both flavours but preferred the chocolate as the creme brulé wasn’t as flavourful. I had them at morning tea & found they kept full for a while. The bottle is the perfect size as I find the usual bottles of chocolate milk a bit big. Will check out the prices in the supermarket compared to other milk drinks and if they’re similar prices, I’ll get some.

  15. Geminichick123 15/12/2017 at 9:39 pm

Tried the creme brulee and rich chocolate flavours… Let’s just say I was left wondering where it went as it was so delicious! I didn’t feel much of a difference in energy levels, but I definitely felt better than normal… Must have been missing one of the nutrients in my body! These saved my body from the last 2 horrible days of baby not dealing well with immunisations.

  16. suzannefd 15/12/2017 at 7:23 pm

I received the creme brule and chocolate flavors. Surprisingly delicious and not super sweet. I liked the packaging too and size of the bottle. There was just the right amount to fill me up. I however did not notice increse energy levels that I was hoping for. I would buy it again though occasionally

  17. Mummummum 14/12/2017 at 6:20 pm

I really enjoyed the taste of these. Had a very slight powder taste to them but it wasn’t a dislike at all. The chocolate one reminded me of calci yum chocolate yoghurt. The creme brulee was sweeter and a lovely change to standard flavours, made it taste a bit more adult than a child’s flavoured milk. I drank one when I started to get peckish mid morning and it kept me going until lunchtime.

The drinks tasted fantastic and were a great snack for a busy Mum. I was slightly concerned that the third ingredient was cane sugar

  19. mwilton 14/12/2017 at 7:10 am

Tasted ok, although I found they smelled a bit chemically? Did keep me full for a while though. Thanks for the addition of the vit D drops for baby, going to try these out on her today 🙂

  20. alicecai 14/12/2017 at 1:49 am

Thank a lot for sending through the Puria the VD drops. The milk tastes so creamy and delicious! I took it at breakfast and it made me not feeling hungry all morning! Thinking about getting a whole box of it already. My baby’s teething these days and not keen to solids at all. I tried a drop in her solid yesterday but she didn’t eat much. Will keep trying.

  21. lfurniss 13/12/2017 at 5:28 pm

Wow, these drinks are the goods! So delicious, pleasantly surprised. Being lactose intolerant I was very excited to try these. The only thing I’m disappointed with is the fact I didn’t discover them sooner! I’m 6 months into breastfeeding and it’s great knowing that my baby is getting the best nutrition by fuelling my body with these. I’m also a type 1 diabetic which is quite a struggle to manage when your breastfeeding. These drinks have the perfect amount of carbs though for a between meal snack and easy to consume when on the go. I’d highly recommend these to any other breastfeeding mums! 10/10

  22. jbottcher 13/12/2017 at 4:19 pm

I really enjoyed both flavours of the Puria drink. I can’t have milk so this was a nice afternoon treat, especially later in the day when you don’t want to have caffeine but want a pick me up. I had one drink (chilled) each afternoon for two days, and the day after my supply did seem to have increased.

  23. dolphindeep2k 13/12/2017 at 1:50 pm

And an update on the Vit D drops, not sure everyone got those, as I couldn’t see anyone commenting about the drops.

I gave the drops to my elder one and my little one. My little one is still developing the sense of having solids and I’m still experiimenting with different flavors. and she was a little puzzled after I put a drop of it in her mouth. I think I’ll keep giving it to her every day so that she develops taste for it.

But my elder daughter said that she wants to have more, but didn’t say if she liked it or not. All she wanted was more :). Hence I think that statement says it all 🙂

Thank you team kidspot and team Puria for sending through the Puria milk and the Vit D drops!!

I am exclusively pumping for my 10-month-old daughter who was born with Cleft Palate. I generally don’t like Chocolate favored drinks, but when I tried the chocolate flavored Puria milk, I loved it. Even the Crème Brule tasted awesome.

I must say, it tasted better when I had the drinks chilled. I finally have a drink that I can have without thinking about the side-effects on my little girl. It is a healthy option instead. On top of it, it’s super healthy. I absolutely loved the flavor and texture of milk.

I think the packaging will come handy as well. I can put the bottle in my little girl’s bag when we are going out. I think I’m going to buy a box of 24 bottles. And, I had a friend share the drink with me too, she loved it too and will sign up for Kidspot website too :).

Thank you for selecting me to try and review the product. I’m going to buy some bottles soon 🙂

  25. hdl3 13/12/2017 at 1:36 pm

Update for the chocolate flavour – tried that today, very full chocolate taste but I must admit it was a bit watery, not as rich milky as I do prefer. So on balance I actually prefer the creme brulee which surprised me!

  26. hdl3 12/12/2017 at 5:06 pm

I really loved the size of the drink at 250mls it wasn’t too much, wasn’t too little and the packaging was simple and appealing. I tried the Creme Brulee as soon as it was chilled in the fridge, breastfeeding and very busy day so realy keen to have a pick me up. I was pleasantly surprised by the taste (normally I’m all about the chocolate), though did find it a bit sweet not at all too sweet. Was nice to know I was taking some extra goodies in too. It was really tasty though not as rich as eg speciality flavoured milk such as Puhoi or Lewis Road Cremery. I would recommend it to mums because its not so many calories and a good portion size which is really important to help mums stay healthy.

I absolutely loved the smooth texture and delicious flavour of the Puria Mothers Dairy Drink chocolate flavour. It was wonderful knowing that I was getting the desperately needed nutritional supplements for breastfeeding while being oh so satisfied! Who says being healthy has to taste yucky!?! I personally thought that the creme brûlée flavour was too sweet, but Im sure plenty of mums out there would absolutely love it. This is a product that I would definitely invest in in the future. Thanks for thinking practically when designing such an important product!!!

  28. Seth Holten 12/12/2017 at 12:08 pm

Yum!!! So light and easy. Being a busy mum it’s hard to make sure you eat properly so having a easy delicious drink to grab on the go was amazing a bonus that it’s full of good stuff for bub. The chocolate was by far the tastiest.the bottles are so cute too. I do wish they were a bit more fulling. Also if they were cheaper and easier to source would be great. I do hope I can get some more in the future.

  29. Emmali 11/12/2017 at 8:06 pm

Puria mother’s dairy drinks are so delicious and it works perfectly as a replacement of my lactation milkshake to boost my milk supply for breast feeding. It contains all the protein I need plus the vitamins. I drink it between meal time and it’s such a treat and the most important it’s so handy compare with making my own milkshake everyday! Thanks Puria! I’ll definily buy it again and suggest it to my friends

  30. karinamcinnes 11/12/2017 at 8:04 pm

The Puria Mothers Dairy drinks were amazing. I had the Creme brûlée drink first and loved the taste, how it was sweet but not sickly sweet. The second day was the rich Chocolate and by far my favourite. It didn’t leave a horrible aftertaste like some chocolate milks do and it had the rich flavour without being too overpowering.
They were great pick me ups in the afternoon after school pickup when i needed a nice cool drink.
These drinks are the sweet treat you need while pregnant or breastfeeding knowing that you are getting your daily dose of Folic Acid, Iron, Vitamin D and Iodine without worrying about taking another tablet.
