Footprint game
Next rainy day, thrill your kids by letting them follow footprints around the house to discover a prize at the end. The Footprint game takes bit of preparation time – but is so worth it. You could even covert it into an Easter egg hunt game at Easter time. Watch the video to see how.
What you need:
- 3 large A3 sheets of cardboard (not too thick)
- Clear floor
- Blu-tack
- Textas
- Scissors
- A prize for the end of the game (optional)
Number of players:
2+
Activity:
Watch the video to see how to make and play the Footprint game.
Get your children to trace around each of their feet onto the cardboard. Use the footprints as a template to make lots of footprints. At least 10 of each.
Lay a trail of footprints through the house, using Blu-tack to stick them to the floor. If you have carpet you could use a bit of masking tape to tape them lightly.
Put a prize at the end of the trail.
Say, "Ready, set, go!" and watch as your kids follow the trail.
You could then suggest they make a new trail of their own to follow.
Hints and tips:
Turn this into a Easter egg hunt game by placing a basket of Easter eggs at the end of the footprint trail.
