Glow in the dark pipe cleaner bead maze

Maths begins with basic counting skills and why not do it the fun way? This glow in the dark bead maze offers kids the opportunity to create their very own counting device that is not only practical and educational but so much fun!

What you need:

  • glow in the dark beads
  • bright, neon pipe cleaners
  • styrofoam sheet
  • black light torch
  • egg carton

Number of players:

Activity:

Step 1. Gather your supplies and pop all of your beads into the egg carton. This will help with sorting them into shape, size and colour.

Step 2. With the lights out and the black light torch on for effect, stand as many pipe cleaners as you would like into the styrofoam.

Step 3. Thread the glow in the dark beads onto the pipe cleaners.

Step 4. Bend and viola! There you have your very own glow in the dark, pipe cleaner bead maze.

Notes:
You can do this inside the big box you used for the glow in the dark play box activity.
