Hit the door

Hit the door

Hit the door is just like hide and seek and is an exciting party game to be played indoors or outdoors. Kids of all ages will enjoy hiding, spying and chasing with their friends.

Number of players:
4+

Activity:

This game is usually played inside and the emphasis is more on hiding than chasing.

First, find a “base” – a door or table works great.

Next you choose one person to be “it”.

That person will stand next to your chosen base with their eyes closed and begin counting: 1 o’clock, 2 o’clock, 3 o’clock, etc. The child keeps counting until they reach 12 o’clock.

All other players hide while the child who is “it” counts.

At 12 o’clock, “it” yells out “Midnight”.

Then all the hiders try to run to the base. They need to “hit the door” before the person that is “it” catches them.

The first to be found before making it to base becomes the next child to be “it”; otherwise, repeat the game with the same players.
