Lattice lacing

Start with the lace running straight along the bottom pair of eyelets, inside to outside.

Cross the ends over each other and run then diagonally up to the fourth set of eyelets up. (Skip two sets.)

Now run each end straight up, on the inside, to the next eyelet up.

Cross the ends over and go diagonally down, feeding the laces from outside in, through the third lower set (skip two).

Run both ends straight up, on the inside to emerge through the next set of eyelets.

Cross over and go diagonally up to feed the laces through the top eyelets, from inside to outside.
