Make your own modelling clay
Children will have lots of fun being creative making shapes with their own dough. A great way to keep them entertained for hours.
What you need:
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup salt
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 cup water
- Waxed paper
- Food colouring
Number of players:
In a big bowl mix the flour, salt, oil and water together until the mixture becomes dough-like.
Place a sheet of waxed paper on the table and sprinkle it with some flour and knead the 'clay' dough into a ball.
Divide the ball into separate lumps of clay and add some food colouring to each lump.
Knead them again.
Now you can sculpt the clay dough into any shape you want.
When the kids have finished playing with the dough you can store it in plastic bags or airtight containers and keep in the fridge.
