Use scissors (or a craft knife) to cut out a small window in the smaller circle.

This is where the words will show when you turn the wheel.

Above the window write: “To me you are:”

Cut out from magazines wonderful complimentary words that make you think of your mum.

These will finish the sentence: “To me you are:”.

Make sure they are the size of the window or smaller.

Glue these words around the circle, the finished product will appear like spokes on a bicycle wheel.

Making certain only one word can be seen at one time.

Holding the smaller circle on top, to test this through the window will be helpful.

Poke a hole through the centre of each wheel, and fasten the split pin in place.

Decorate the front of the wheel with more mother’s day messages.

You can draw arrows to show that it is to be spun.

Notes:

  • For a perfect finish, attach the two wheels together with the split pin and then glue the complimentary words into the visible window.
