Pool noodle lightsaber

Make your own injury-proof lightsabers out of a pool noodle. Your kids will love playing Star Wars with this easy homemade lightsaber idea. Soon, your kids will be using 'the force'!

What you need:

• 1 pool noodle (makes 2 lightsabers)
• silver duct tape
• black marker pen
• scissors

Optional – on/off buttons:

• 1 small piece of white card
• red and green marker pens
• scissors
• glue

Activity:

Cut one full pool noodle in half to make two light sabers.

Measure about 15cm up from one end of the noodle to mark out your handle.

Cover that bottom 15cm area with silver duct tape.

Use a black marker pen to draw lightsaber details on the handle.

Make red and green on/off buttons out of white card; colour the 'off' button red and the 'on' button green.
