Grab a paper lantern from the discount store and turn it into a creepy spider lantern for Halloween with just a few simple crafty additions.

What you need:

• 1 x black paper lantern
• 8 x strips of black cardboard (30cm x 3cm)
• scissors
• glue
• white paper
• orange paper
• black paper

Concertina fold each black cardboard strips to make wiggly spider legs.

Now cut two circles out of white paper. (5cm diameter)

Cut two slightly smaller circles out of orange paper. (3cm diameter)

Cut two even smaller circles out of black paper. (1.5cm diameter)

Glue these one atop the other to form two eyes (see pic)

Attach each leg to the lower portion of your lantern.

Glue the eyes on.

Now hang your spider out front for Halloween.
