  • 1 sheet clear self-stick laminating film
  • 2 sheets orange craft paper
  • Scissors
  • Pen
  • 30 cm length of string
  • Glue

Number of players:
1+

Activity:

Cut the tissue paper into small squares.

Peel back half of the backing from the laminating film and place the tissue squares onto the sticky surface, keeping the colours alternating and overlapping if you want.

Carefully peel the backing off the rest of the laminating film and fold it back over the tissue paper pieces, encasing them in the film.

Trim off the edges so you are left with a large circle.

Fold the two pieces of orange craft paper in half and draw a half-pumpkin shape as a cutting guide. Cut out pumpkin shape and unfold sheets. You should be left with a perfect pumpkin shape.

Place the tissue paper-decorated film over the paper pumpkin and trace around the edges of the film, adding 1cm to the edge. Cut out the centre of the shape with scissors and glue the tissue-decorated film in the centre of one of the paper pumpkins.

Place the string by the “stem” of the pumpkin and glue it in place.

Glue the second paper pumpkin to enclose the tissue-decorated film and string. Let dry.

Hang in a sunny window.
