Keep the kids busy with some threading and stuffing by making these too-cute felt trees in a variety of colours.
You'll need:
- Felt (various colours)
- Ribbon
- Cotton wool (or batting)
- A small safety pin
- A single hole punch
- Scissors
Step one
Fold the felt in half and cut out a Christmas tree so that you get two identical pieces.
Step two
Use the single hole punch to punch holes around the edge of the tree.
Step three
Attach the safety pin to the end of the ribbon and thread from the second or third hole down (to leave space for the stuffing)
Step four
Thread around the felt tree, leaving the top open. Stuff the hole in the top with cotton wool and thread both sides up to the top to close the stuffing hole.
Step five
Cut off another piece of ribbon and thread it through the top holes as the 'hanger'. Tie the threaded ribbon together into a bow. Hang on the tree!
