Cone witch

Cone witch

Make these scary Cone witches to add some Halloween flair to your house or verandah. The best thing about this project is even the little kids can get crafty and decorate the cones to make them extra-spooky!

What you need:

  • 1 sheet black craft paper
  • 1 sheet green craft paper
  • 1 sheet white paper
  • 1 sheet purple craft paper
  • Tape
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Silver or gold paint pen
  • Red marker and coloured pencils or crayons

Number of players:
1+

Activity:

Take the black paper and roll it into a cone shape. Stick the edges closed with the tape, or if needed, use a stapler to secure it in place.

Trim the base so it is even.

On the white paper, draw some eyes, a nose and mouth with the red marker or coloured pencils and crayons. Cut them out and put aside.

Cut a large circle out of the green paper.

Cut out the centre of the circle leaving a 10cm band around the circle. Keep the spare paper.

Slide the "doughnut" on top of the cone and gently slide down to make the witches' hat brim.

Below where the hat brim sits, glue the witches' eyes, nose and mouth.

Cut purple paper into 10 cm long strips, about 3cm wide. Glue around the head for the hair.

For the final touches, use a silver or gold paint pen to add a buckle to the hat.
