Make peg airplanes

Make peg airplanes

Big boys and little boys will love these cute peg airplanes. They're so simple and once you get the hang of them, you'll want to make a whole fleet! Your little boy will enjoy hours of imaginative play with his peg airplanes.

What you need:

Per plane you will need:

  • 1 x wooden peg
  • 3 x Paddlepop sticks
  • 1 x mini Paddlepop stick
  • craft glue
  • craft knife

Optional:

  • silver spray paint

Number of players:
1

Activity:

Use the peg as the main body of the plane.

The paddlepop sticks will then form the wings and tail.

Start by gluing the mini Paddlepop stick across the end of the peg as a tail piece.

Cut the tip off one of your large Paddlepop sticks and use it as the other part of the tail (see pics and video).

Now glue one Paddlepop wing in place on top, then the other goes on the underside of the plane.

Hints and tips:

You can paint your plane any colour you like. We made ours silver with a can of aluminium spray paint from Bunnings for about $3.70.
