Conquering The School Stationery List

Promotion for Warehouse Stationery and The Warehouse

One of the things that school parents will talk about the most as the kids head back to school is the school stationery list!

That innocent-looking list of requirements will be hunted down by parents wanting to get in early on back-to-school sales and will be scrutinised like it’s the Geneva Convention!

If you’re feeling a little overwhelmed by your child’s requirements, put it down for a moment and check out our top tips for conquering the list.

Exercise books

Check what exercise books your child has leftover from the previous year and if they match up with the school’s stationery list. If there are plenty of pages left to be used, just reuse the same book. If there’s a requirement for a lot of one book, ie 1B5, buy a couple of spares to have on hand when the old ones run out.

For anything new that is needed, shop at The Warehouse and Warehouse Stationery for back to school supplies.

Stationery

Raid the art box, the stationery drawer, and everyone’s pencil cases to see what’s usable, what’s done its time, what can be transferred to a different child, and what you need to purchase. Most schools will require students to have pens, pencils, a ruler, an eraser, a glue stick, a pencil sharpener, highlighters, whiteboard pens, coloured pencils, a protractor, and a compass.

Don’t forget to make sure the pencil case is big enough to fit it all in and label everything!

Making back to school more sustainable

Although there’s plenty of smart school tech, a big part of study is still about putting pen to paper. And that’s where choosing more sustainable stationery can give the kids a smarter start to the year and boost the planet at the same time.

The Warehouse and Warehouse Stationery are making it easy to shop a more sustainable Back to School by adding more sustainable materials to their stationery ranges.. Many are made from recycled plastic and paper, giving these materials an extended life.

They also have products certified by the Forest Stewardship Council, which means they’re made from wood or paper sources from responsibly managed forests.

And these sustainable choices are also affordable, with low prices across the stationery ranges.

So when you’re checking through this year’s school list, why not see where you can try more sustainable options?
