THE WILD ROBOT WONDERS

What: These school holidays an adventurous robot lands at the Sky Tower, bringing a flourish of wilderness wonders to explore!
Join the fun to celebrate the release of the new movie, The Wild Robot, and find Roz the Robot hiding at the top of the Sky Tower with an AR filter photo opportunity at SkyDeck. Kids can draw animals and robots on the Level 51 blackboard wall and build with giant blocks in the Build-a-Bot zone on the Ground floor.

Spring in Aotea Square these school holidays!
Head down and join the FREE creative fun for the kids (big and small!). Then grab a selfie with the captivating rainbow sculpture and witness the glorious Late Night Art across the city.
Family Quiz Night is back these school holidays!

Quail Island Pirate Hunt
with Black Cat Cruises
Location: Akaroa Main Wharf, Akaroa, Christchurch, 7520
When: Daily, 28th Sept to 13th Oct 2024. Departures at 10.15am and 12.15pm
What: Join the pirating fun over the school holidays!
Board the boat in Lyttelton then cruise over to Quail Island where pirates are hiding, waiting for you to discover them. Follow the map and be rewarded with treasure! Fancy dress is highly recommended!

There’s always something new at Te Papa
Location: 55 Cable Street, Wellington, 6011
When: Daily, Sat 28 Sep – Sun 13 Oct
What: Fun events for tamariki aged 3–12 years at the Museum of New Zealand – many of them FREE!
Jump into the fun at Te Papa these school holidays with activities for the kids. There are pottery classes, music and dance workshops, stories, exhibitions and lots to discover. Many of the whānau events are for children accompanied by adults but there is also a full-day school holiday program.
Tūhura Holiday Club
Location: Tūhura Otago Museum, 419 Great King Street, Dunedin
When: Weekdays 30 Sept to 4 Oct & 7 Oct to 11 Oct 2024, 8.30am – 5pm
What: The holiday programme at Tūhura is back! Ages 5–12, fully supervised. Dress for mess!
Led by trained educators, each day is full of fun and a great opportunity to make new friends. Kids will spend time crafting, exploring the galleries, stargazing in the planetarium, experimenting in the science lab, and playing in the science centre, where a three-storey slide and a tropical forest full of exotic butterflies await.
