My 6 year old daughter trialled the charlies juice pouches, her favourite being the blackcurrant. I found them to be a great size for her as a treat. They work great frozen the night before and put in the lunchbox the next day to keep everything nice and cool. She really enjoyed the other flavours as well and since then we have bought a box of these pouches from new world (apple flavour as we couldnt seem to find blackcurrant). The only downside to these is that the straw is easily lost in the pouch.
Myself, my 10 and 12 year old had one each of the 3 available flavours. My children are not fussy children when it comes to fruit juice so this was a big hit. I myself enjoyed this juice. I enjoy the fact that they are mixed with water and much less sweeter then some other juice products. I tend to not buy juice or any other flavoured drink for my children, only if we are dining out. But with the hot weather, I feel these will be wonderful chilled or frozen to give them abit of an energy boost. We cannot wait to try the tropical when it hits the shelves.
My kids loved these juice pouches. The 3 children found them easy to poke the straw into the hole, even the 6 yr old. The best flavour overall was the Apple for 2 of them and Blackcurrent & Apple for 1. The Orange Juice was said to be the most sour tasting amongst the 3 juices with the kids suggesting they add apple or mango juice to to it, to make it sweeter. We froze one of the Juice pouches to test out what that was like in the lunchbox by lunch time and my boy who is 9 said it was nice and cool and refreshing at lunchtime. They all thought it would be good to freeze and make into iceblocks for the Summer months. Now everytime we go to the supermarket they ask for them for their lunch box. Thanks for the chance to trial they were delicious. Cant wait to taste the new flavour.

I have 3 young boys so this was perfect for us. We dont normally have juice so these were a real treat, but would purchase again as a treat as they are much more natural than some of the alternative brands.
The designs on the packages were a hit, they loved the superhero factor. They all loved the flavours as well. My younger 2 boys couldn’t insert the straw themselves and my eldest boy also struggled, this would be my only comment as far as improving the packaging.

Taste wise my 10 year old had no complaints at all. I did not see any relation to being made with less sugar but was pretty obvious it is made with water. Getting the straw in was not always immediate but got there in the end. Would i purchase? Highly possible that if asked i would do so. I would think a wild berry or some kind of berry flavour would be a great new flavour. Do look forard to seeing what the tropical flavour tastes like. Packaging is great and there can be NO mistake it is anything but Charlies.
My kids were so excited to be able to review these! Blackcurrant was the clear favourite, I love that there is water added too so its not too much of a sugar hit unlike some juices. The only thing I would say is my youngest found it tricky to get the straw into the soft packet but other than that they were great! Will definitely purchase for treats. Thanks
I found the packaging of these drinks attractive and they are easy to use. At first glance when I see ‘fruit drink’ on a packet I assume it has added sugar so I think writing ‘no added sugar’ on the front would be helpful. I also prefer to use recyclable packaging where possible for single use items so would be more likely to purchase these if the packaging was clearly recyclable. I think the simple ingredients are perfect for young children. My four year old liked all the flavours and easily drank the whole serving size. While I tend to not buy single use, single size products I would buy these for when travelling or a treat on picnics etc. and would certainly choose them over any other children’s drink product I have seen on the market.

My daughter and I tried all three juices and my daughter’s favourites in order
1. Apple juice
2. Blackcurrant
3. Orange
The packaging is Great, the straw easy to insert for a 5 year old. I think having the juice in a sachet is abit of a novelty compared to being in a bottle.
The juice itself was lovely. I really liked that you can taste there is less sweetness/sugar compared to other kids juices, but still a lovely taste!
This is a treat I would allow my daughter to take to school and is very easy to throw into a bag for an after school drink.
I will very much be buying these again and will be on the look out for the new tropical flavour!

Thank you so much for choosing us to review the Charlie’s juice pouches! My seven year old in particular is a juice MONSTER, so was extremely excited to receive the pouches to trial. In fact, she took complete ownership of them, so poor Master 8 did not get a look in!!
I took the liberty of freezing one pouch one putting it frozen into her lunchbox one hot day, which meant her juice was nice and cold once she got to drink it at school, plus it kept everything else in the lunchbox nice and cool and fresh.
As reported by Miss 7 “The apple juice is my absolute favourite, closely followed by blackcurrant, and then orange.”
Sizewise, these are perfect for her, easily finished with no waste. She found the straw easily to insert and the flavours pleasant. Overall, I think Charlie’s has a new fan for life!
My kids 6 and 3 were very excited to try these as juice is a sometimes drink. Great that they only contain natural ingredients/flavours and water – happy to give these to my little ones. The flavours were great and we’re keen to try the new flavour too. I froze two before we went camping and it kept them entertained for 20 minutes while we put up the tent! Not sure about the packaging being recyclable but very convenient on a trip. Thanks!

and the Black Currant Juice she thought they were great we popped them in the freezer for an hour made them like a slushy package was super easy for her to open herself no trouble with the straw and she could pick which one she wanted just by looking at the pictures although she wasn’t too keen on the Orange Juice but she has never liked oranges so you cant win them all needless to say a great hit weather in the fridge or in the freezer 🙂

The packaging is ok but a bit too fidly and messy to open for little hands, it’d be great to come up with a different type. The orange flavour was the most favourite, followed by blackcurrent, Apple came last. I personally didn’t try these, I wasn’t allowed to 🙂 but I was told I have to buy these again. And I will do so. My kids and I really enjoyed the Charlies Drink pouches!! We took them with us on a picnic and they were so refreshing and yummy after our long walk through the reserve! They weren’t overly sweet either so that was great too! My kids kept asking me for another one so it’s off to the supermarket for some this weekend! 😀

Thank you for choosing us to review the juices. My children absolutely love them. They are easy to put with their lunchbox to school. The taste are good. We especially love the Apple and black current. However it’s a bit hard for my children to put the straw in by themselves. I would suggest to have a cap opener or an easier to open container. I also think the straw is a bit short. And I would suggest the straw to be able to be bended, as the straw is quite easy to fall into the pouch.
Thank you for selecting us to trial these products. My 4 year old was incredibly excited when he saw these in the fridge and wanted to try them all at once! I asked him to choose which one he wanted to try first and he picked the orange. It was gone in next to no time and he really enjoyed it. The next day he chose the blackcurrant and really enjoyed that. Unfortunately, the apple didn’t live up to his expectations and wasn’t even finished. Daddy finished the apple flavour and remarked there was only a faint apple taste. The packaging was clearly marked that it contained real fruit and less sugar. My 4 year old found the straw a little bit fiddly to insert into the packaging and needed a bit of help. In summary, orange appeared to be the favoured flavour and we would definitely purchase the orange and blackcurrant again and recommend this product to family and friends. This is a great, healthy alternative to sugar laden fruit drinks. Thank you for the opportunity to try these.

My Boys loved these.. they are super convenient, can take them on the go with you we even froze one of ours as a refreshing ice block they loved it. They taste amazing and i love they dont have any nasties in them. They did struggle putting the straws in though but other than that… really good product. We will definitely be purchasing these again and we can’t wait to try the new flavour.
WOW! Thank you so much Charlies and Kidspot for the trial opportunity. My son loved that he was able to just grab one from the fridge on the run and pop the straw in with ease and off he goes. We utilised them for an after school treat as well as an on the go while he was out racing his BMX Bike. We will certainly be having these as part of our weekly shop. The pouch was a great size, I had frozen the orange one for them to have as an ice block which they enjoyed. I actually saw them on special at my local supermarket this week so have already purchased more. Thanks so much!
Where do I start on this Trial?
My kids all were pretty excited to try them!
So I allowed them to all have a sip on each flavour so they all got to try it.
Then they each told me their favourite flavours. All of them loved the apple and orange juice.
They had them when they came home from school. They said it helped refresh them.
So the next day I went to the supermarket to buy more. They ain’t that expensive. And I can tell you now they are going to be a weekly treat for my kids.
I like the fact that the ain’t full of sugar like most fruit juices. And my kids are only allowed water and milk so it was a good surprise for them.

I love the size of the juice pouches, not too big for children and not too small. Just the perfect amount.

Hey thanks Kidspot and Charlies for these samples…juice is a treat in our house so much excitement was had! Blackcurrant was the fave flavour for both girls but once the Tropical flavour arrives that may change. Easy to refrigerate and pop into a lunchbox as packaging flexible BUT have to say the opening slot with the straw requires an adult, even with my 9 year old, unless I want it all over the floor. So not easy in that respect.
Will buy again as like the water added part and they don’t know the difference. Good for kids parties too!
My 5yr old tried the blackcurrant one which she loved. My 9yr old tried the orange one but he said he didn’t really like the flavour. He still drank it pretty quick though so must have enjoyed it. One of them also tried the apple fIavour which they liked. I gave it to them as an after school treat on a hot day. I had to help my 5yr old put the straw in. I usually don’t buy drinks but I would buy these if I was out or travelling and my kids needed a drink. Thank you for letting us try them.

It tasted watered down to us; but that may be because he gets straight juice without any additional water added 😊

I like that it is all natural my son has now asked to take them to school the only thing is the straw hole it was hard to push the straw in . Sorry forgot to add they are awesome for lunch boxes and don’t take up a lot of room and miss 5 said it taste like drinking real fruit but the straw was hard for them to get in the hole also
Thank you kid spot and Charlie’s for letting us trial your drinks. First of all my kids loved them blackcurrent apple then orange. They also enjoyed them half frozen like a slushy for the hot days. They found it a bit hard to get the last drops with the straw lol.
My 3 kids under 5 hardly drink juices mainly water so it is a treat for them which is good for me as this doesn’t have all the nastys in it and doesn’t hype them up as they are not use to drinking sugary things. As a mum I did find the packaging a bit difficult for my younger 2 to drink as they are easy to squeeze and it all comes pooring out. So I would like to also see them in a different package for the younger kids who can’t hold it properly. My kids said it tasted great and it not very sweet miss 5 said she give it a 100 out of 10 great job charlies

My daughter absolutely loved these. Her favourite was the blackcurrant followed by Apple then the orange.
I loved that there were no nasties involved with these and they are the perfect treat drink for her.
I will purchase these over so many other brands as I know they as natural as possible.
I normally only let miss 8 drink water but will allow these as a treat.
Only issue we found was getting the straw in the little hole was a bit of a struggle due to the shape of the packet, once she managed to pierce both sides of it.
Other than that we will be purchasing these again.
