So happy to redeem my voucher today and bought 2 salads to try, by paying a wee bit extra. The chopped salad with the coriander dressing, this appealed as I am an avid fan of coriander. The other is the Teriyaki stir fry my son loves making Dons at home, so this will be great for the vege content of these. The salads were well displayed at Countdown – Browns Bay and had expiry dates of the 21/12 plenty of time to use by. The packaging was abit busy I thought and perhaps not the best at displaying the contents. Will keep you posted when we make the dishes but grand to get a leg up on dinner at this time of year,

I was so excited to trial the Taylor Farm Chopped Salad Range and wanted the Mediterranean salad however it was not stocked so I went with the Kale SaladMix. Packaging is nice but could be maybe a lighter packaging as it looks quite dark and nit inviting and exciting. I used this to go with our family picnic down the beach. It looked so delicous and I couldnt wait to try along with my family. To my surprise it was deffinatly not a taste I like and that was wholey due to the dressing sauce (Lemon Vinaigrette) which was very powerfull and really took over the salad not in a nice way. I found there was alot more cabbage then kale and other greens(the packaging showed a nice green salad)whereas the inside was more coleslaw looking. The croutons where nice and crunchy and qualtiy of salad was fresh. Overall taste was not to my liking however I would try again except leave the dressing out & change to something else. I dont think it is worth the cost of $5.99 to be honest.

This would be a special buy product considering the cost and the fact that there is not alot of salad for this price.

I chose the Kale Chopped Salad. It was fresh and very crunchy. I added some grilled chicken strips to it to make it into a meal, and it was very tasty. I was a little disappointed, though, because there was much more cabbage than kale, and seeing it’s called kale salad, you’d expect a better balance of ingredients. The combination of crunchy (croutons), soft (cheese), and the salad made it a lovely meal. It was very tasty, and I’d probably consider buying it again for a special occasion meal. For a day-to-day meal it’d be a little pricey for me; I’d expected more salad for this price. So overall it was a good experience, with the price of the product being the only downside that would hold me back from buying it regularly.
The packaging was easy to read and even suggested a recipe with the salad, which was a nice touch.

The first salad I chose was the Southwest Chopped Salad. It is NZ grown , a big plus to me. This salad was different to anything I have had before as it had Crispy little strips of Tortilla instead of croutons and they made the salad even more delicious. The salad consisted of green cabbage, cos lettuce, carrots, pumpkin seeds, spring onion, tortilla strips, coriander and a creamy coriander dressing. It was easy to make up and delicious with the fish we were having for dinner. It had just the right amount of crunch and the flavours were amazing. I will definitely be buying it again.

After receiving my voucher in the post today, I went out and found the ‘Taylor Farms’ Salads at our local New World supermarket. The latest Mediterranean & Greek Chopped Salads were not in so I selected the Asian Chopped Salad which was priced at $5.99.

The Asian Chopped Salad was in a attractive package with easy to read variety and ingredients list on the front with the bonus of a plated illustration. There is plenty more information on the back of the pack and includes a QR Code with further information if required.

I used the salad as a topping on soft taco’s over mince as our family dinner. It was a tasty mixture of salad, vegetables with a hint of ginger/sesame sauce topped off by crunchy almonds and wonton noodles. I have bought the Pams salads before, but this appealed to me more with the variety of flavours.

This salad is very convenient to use as we just opened the packets and mixed, but I was slightly confused by the front of the packet saying ‘Washed & ready to enjoy’, BUT the back of the packet said ‘It is recommended to rinse all salad greens and vegetables prior to consumption’!!!

All the family found it delicious even our fussy daughter. It was visually appealing with a mix of small pieces and I would use this again and recommend to family & friends.

    As a
Mum to three kids, anything that makes dinner prep quick and easy is a win in my house. The Southwest Chopped salad will be a winner with the mini-me’s as it sounds mildly Mexican which is a firm favourite.
