Pipe cleaner bells

Pipe cleaner bells

Kids love making music. And I bet you’ll find they also love making musical instruments! Break out the pipe cleaners and craft bells and they’ll whip up some tinklers in no time.

What you need:

  • pipe cleaner
  • small bells (try craft/budget stores for packets of small ones)
  • ribbon
  • scissors

Number of players:

Activity:

Step 1. Gather your supplies.

Step 2. Thread the bells onto the pipe cleaner until they cover the middle third of its length.

Step 3. Neaten up the bells so they’re all lined up the same way.

Step 4. Bend the outside two thirds inwards and twist the lengths around each other.

Step 5. To create a handle.

Step 6. To protect from any sharp pipe cleaner ends, tie a length of ribbon at one end close to the bells.

Step 7. Wrap the ribbon around the exposed pipe cleaner, overlapping slightly and tie off again at the end.

Step 8. Shake and enjoy the music your little one makes.
