Ingredients

  • 1 mango

    peeled

  • 1 apple

    peeled, cored and diced

Equipment

  • 1 ice cube tray
  • 1 baby fruit net
  • 1 fork
  • 1 small bowl
  • 1 saucepan
  • 1 blender
  • 1 spoon

Instructions

  1. Cut the flesh off the mango and mash with a fork in a small bowl until smooth.
  2. Half fill all the blocks in your ice tray with the mango puree. Freeze for 2 hours or until frozen solid.
  3. Place apples in a saucepan and just cover with water. Bring to the boil over a medium-high heat and then simmer on medium for 5 minutes or until cooked through.
  4. Puree apples in a blender with 1/4 cup only of the cooking water. Remove ice cube tray of mango from freezer, and fill each block with apple puree. Freeze for 2 hours again or until solid.
  5. Remove blocks from tray and place one in a fruit net. Bang a little with the back of a spoon to soften slightly and let baby at it!

Notes

Tip
You can puree the mango for extra smoothness, if you prefer.
Variation
If you're feeling lazy, just use apple puree from a jar.
Storage
Store frozen in the ice cube tray or an airtight container.
