Find out what the future of fitness looks like with Sports Tech, a whole weekend of fun activities at MOTAT focused on the innovative world of sports technology.

Immerse yourself in a range of mixed reality sports and multisensory experiences and learn about the science of the human body, how it works, and what it needs to be happy and healthy.

You’ll be joined by experts in exercise science and physiology, plus there’s a whole stack of other physical challenges and inclusive sports activities for you to discover.

Need a time out? Relax and enjoy live entertainment and fuel up at one of the food trucks.

No matter your fitness ability or accessibility level, this weekend is all about having a go and checking out the latest and greatest in all things sports and tech.

Sports Tech activities

  • Multi-Ball – an interactive digital sports wall that measures movement using precision sensors and motion tracking.
  • Foot steps – activities based on a combination of technology, games, traditional sports and science.
  • Athletics New Zealand – Get Set Go activities for younger kids.
  • Ricoh BlazePod Challenge – Test your reaction speed and play against your mates.
  • FAM (Functional Adaptive Movement) – offering group strength and conditioning sessions for all skill and fitness levels.
  • Virtual Reality Experience – Explore a world of VR sports.

Plan your MOTAT visit

MOTAT Sports Tech is on from 10am to 4pm, 8 – 9 June 2024 at MOTAT, 805 Great North Road, Western Springs, Auckland and is great for 8 to 12 year olds.

Activities are included in your general admission ticket to MOTAT. A family pass is just $45 for a family of two adults and up to four kids, and annual passes are available too. AA Members save 20% on full-priced general admission.

MOTAT recommend parking outside the Aviation Hall and enjoying the fun and free heritage tram ride between sites. Mobility parking is available on-site at Great North Road (please arrange in advance).
