Wet paint water play

Children love being outdoors, running around and finding ways to play with water. This activity allows children to get creative using paintbrushes with water as imaginary paint.

What you need:

• Buckets
• Water
• Paintbrushes

Activity:

Get a few buckets and fill them up with water.

Using large paintbrushes, let your children dip them in the water and then "paint" your fence.

The water will darken the wood and make it look as though its been painted.

Kids can paint the driveway, garage and house in this way too.

Notes:

• Water makes an excellent 'paint' becuase your kids can have all the fun of getting creative without any of the mess!
• If you paint a fence that has been facing the sun, you'll find that the water 'paint' begins to steam and fade quickly as the water evaporates.
