Sneaky sausage rolls
Ingredients
- 6 Hellers Cheesymite Sausages
- 2 ready-made frozen puff pastry sheets thawed
- 1 tbsp tomato sauce
- 1 tbsp American mustard
- 1 egg
- 1-2 tbsp sesame seeds
Instructions
- Cut each puff pastry sheet into 6 rectangles (cut in half and then each of those halves into three)
- Brush each pastry rectangle with tomato sauce and mustard
- Wrap each cooked sausage in a puff pastry rectangle (tomato sauce and mustard on the inside). Cut in half
- Warm the oven to 180 degrees. Line an oven tray with baking paper
- Place the rolls on the tray seam side down and make a couple of slits in the pastry to allow steam to escape
- Brush the rolls with beaten egg and sprinkle over sesame seeds
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Serve with extra tomato sauce
