Instructions
- For the stovetop method: In a saucepan with a tight fitting lid, combine 1 cup of rice and 2 cups of cold water.
- Bring it to the boil and boil for 5 minutes.
- Leave the lid on the pan, turn the heat off and leave to stand for 10 minutes.
- For the microwave method: Place 1 cup of rice and 2 cups of cold water in a microwave-safe dish.
- Microwave on high for 12 minutes. Increase the cooking time by 3 minutes for each extra cup of rice.
