Mary May's crunchy on toast

Incorporating egg, bacon and cheese on toast, this is the perfect Sunday night dinner - easy, comfort food and the kids can help mix.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp butter

  • 1 egg

  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 2 bacon

    finely chopped

  • 1½ cups grated cheese

    (colby or cheddar or your favourite)

  • 1 tbsp onion

    finely chopped

  • 8 bread

Equipment

  • 1 microwave
  • 1 medium size mixing bowl
  • 1 spoon
  • 1 dessert spoon
  • 1 cookie sheet

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in microwave then add to medium size mixing bowl with 1 egg; beat quickly with spoon.
  2. Add remaining ingredients and stir.
  3. Use a dessert spoon to spread the mix onto bread slices – make sure to spread the mix to the edges.
  4. Put on a cookie sheet or similar and bake for 15-20 minutes at 180 degrees (160 degrees in fan forced oven) until bread is toasted and cheese is melted.
  5. Slice each piece of toast into quarters to make it more fun to eat.
