Choc chip fun faces muffins

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup (25g) Baking Cocoa
  • 1 3/4 cups (260g) self raising flour
  • 60 g butter, chopped
  • 1/2 cup (110g) caster sugar
  • 1 cup (190g) White choc bits
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup (125mL) milk
  • 1/2 cup 25mL) water

 

Icing:

 

  • 1 cup icing sugar
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 1 tbsp butter, melted

 

Decoration:

 

  • 1/2 pkt (125g) Milk Choc bits
  • 24 smarties
  • 6 SNAKE lollies, cut in half
  • 12 Freckles, cut in half
  • 6 Fruit Tingles, cut in half

 

Method

Preheat oven to 200°C/180°C fan forced. Line 12-hole (1/3-cup/80mL) muffin pan with paper cases.

Sift Baking Cocoa and flour into a bowl; rub in butter. Add sugar, White Choc Bits, eggs, milk and water, mix well.

Divide mixture among paper cases; bake 15-20 minutes until cooked through when tested with a skewer; turn out onto wire rack to cool.

To make icing: combine icing sugar, milk and butter; spread evenly over tops of muffins.

Decorate to make faces, as pictured using Milk Choc Bits, Smarties, Snakes, Freckles and Fruit Tingles.
