Blueberry muesli loaf

This delicious and wholesome blueberry muesli loaf cake is a bit like banana bread, but the addition of blueberries and muesli make it especially delicious. It’s perfect for lunch boxes or after school snacks.

      Basic omelette

Omelettes are a great way to include eggs in your diet. Fantastic for breakfast, omelettes also make the perfect too-tired-to-cook weeknight dinner. Add cheese and tomato to the mix and you have a complete meal!

        Apple and cinnamon frittata

This is an unusual turn for the good old frittata but certainly a delicious one. My kids love this for morning tea and we sometimes have it for breakfast if having a slow Sunday. It’s also a really easy recipe for the kids to help with and takes no time at all.

          Fried halloumi

This is a traditional Greek dish and has a deliciously tasty salty flavour to the cheese. Here it is served up with a drizzle of olive oil, cracked black pepper and good quality olive oil.

            Choc chip pancakes

Either as a treat for breakfast or a yummy dessert, these choc chip pancakes will be a hit with the whole family. Buy the more expensive choc chips that hold their shape when heated; cheaper ones melt and make it very difficult to flip the pancake.

              Rice cooker cake

This rice cooker cake is cooked in your rice cooker. Yes, that's right - rice cooker! It looks like a golden buttery cake, uses pancake batter and is so easy that you can get the kids to help you whip it up. What's not to love?

                Brioche loaf

There are not many other smells that top the smell of fresh bread baking, but this brioche loaf is the cream of the crop. Look forward to lashings of jam or cream while the brioche is bakes in the oven.

                  Caramelised pears

Caramelised pears are great for so many recipes or you can just serve them with a big scoop of ice cream. I always make a batch of these when pears are in season and put them in the fridge in a large glass jar.

                    Versatile fruit compote

There is no end to the things you can do with this versatile fruit compote. Dollop some on your breakfast cereal, put a few spoons in your smoothie or eat it on top of toast or in a sandwich. The only limit is your imagination!
